Terminology and Scope
We describe the initial state and its “release” in the Threads–Sea–Tension picture. In the earliest stage, short-lived, ordered disturbances of General Unstable Particles (GUP) were abundant. Their cumulative lifetimes tightened the medium and averaged into an inward-pull background of Statistical Tensor Gravity (STG), while their decay/annihilation fed weak wave packets back into the medium as Tensor Background Noise (TBN). From here on we use the full terms—General Unstable Particles, Statistical Tensor Gravity, and Tensor Background Noise—without abbreviations.
I. Why the “Beginning” Needs a Rewrite (Phenomena and Problems)
Singularity extrapolations push density and temperature to “infinite” values, where units exist but scales fail—a mathematical divergence, not a physical phase. In addition, the earliest observable plate—acoustic phases and near-isothermality—is remarkably coherent; with a single everywhere-fixed light-speed bound and ordinary causal propagation, distant regions cannot coordinate so quickly. We also lack a consistent energy ledger for a universe that is “hot from the start.” Finally, if we treat time as a given axis, we get an endless regress of “before the before,” although whether time itself was operational needs proof. Therefore, the beginning should be a physical phase and its transition, not a “zero point” or “infinity.”
II. A Beginning Without Time: The Quasi-Vacuum Core
Before particles and clocks existed, only the continuous state of the thread network was present—no self-sustaining bound structures, hence no stable oscillators and no seconds to mark. Tension was pulled to its limit: local propagation bounds (phase-speed ceilings) were extremely high, but “very high bounds” do not create time; without stable oscillators, there is no period, hence no beat. Connectivity globally locked the network—admissions allowed, exits not—so perturbations closed “inside,” with no external reference. With no particles and no periodic processes, “earlier/later” had no operational meaning.
III. Crossing Criticality: From Locking to Release (How Time Turns On)
Even without particles, short-lived ordered disturbances kept appearing at extreme rates, injecting two steady drivers:
- Statistical Tensor Gravity: during each lifetime, a smooth inward tightening that compacts the locked core.
- Tensor Background Noise: upon decay, irregular wavelets that tap and rearrange links as micro-triggers.
- When inward tightening plus micro-triggers push stress past a threshold, a chain reaction of reconnection unlocks the network: large swaths break–link–reclose and spontaneously form traversable tension corridors; locking becomes passable, and “inside–outside” causality resumes. The transient zone releases stored tension like a piston: first a common step (a synchronized energy jump), followed by a fading echo-envelope (strong-to-weak, lengthening spacing), converting stored tension into propagating energy and near-field plasma. Once stable local structures and repeatable processes exist—hierarchical loops, acoustic shuttling—there is a beat we can count. Time turns on.
IV. Release and Coordination Without Inflation
The phase transition unfolded in a background with extremely high propagation bounds. Combined with the network’s blockwise redraw—large domains changing lines at once—vast regions could synchronize within a very short physical interval. Therefore, phase alignment and near-isothermality arise without geometric inflation. The energy ledger closes too: chained reconnection converts tension-stress into propagating disturbances that rapidly thermalize nearby, filling the cauldron with initial heat. Crucially, distinguish bounds from clocks: tension sets the bound (initially extreme); clocks require oscillators (provided after unlocking). The release delivers both—fast coordination and a pattern written into a clockable evolution.
V. Freeze-In and Opening Act
In the new normal—still high density and tension—the photon–baryon medium enters acoustic compression–rebound, establishing coherent beats and a coherent scale (the acoustic ruler). As collisions wane, photons decouple and carry the freshly calibrated plate—blackbody base plus peak–trough rhythm and leading polarization—forward to today’s Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). Thereafter, tension terrain organizes matter over long times: long slopes transport, ridges bundle, nodes close, voids rebound—the cosmic web’s skeleton of filaments, walls, nodes, and voids emerges.
VI. Why “Before the Before” Is a Pseudo-Question
In the locked phase, time is not defined; asking “before” is like asking for the flow speed of liquid water below its freezing point. Global locking, extreme tension, and chained reconnection erase any “pre-phase” memory for us: no outbound channel during unlock, high-frequency reconnection mixes micro-patterns into nameless macro-quantities (total stress, energy density), and metrics/observables are mismatched across the phase boundary. Even if “something” was outside, it is not physically accessible in our accounting; our observable history restarts at release.
VII. The Fourfold Ledger at the Beginning (Rolled Into the Quasi-Vacuum Core)
- Threads (Material): a continuous network not yet in particles; self-sustaining wraps (particles) and hierarchical loops appear only after unlocking.
- Sea (Medium): pulled to extreme working tension; after release, returns to recoverable elasticity that allows acoustics, transport, and freezing-in.
- Density (Load): extreme initially to host tension and loops; after release, redistributed by tension terrain into hierarchical structure.
- Tension (Pull/Bounds/Beat): sets bounds without beats initially; after unlocking, lights the beat, sets bounds, sculpts paths, and becomes the main historical ledger.
VIII. Analogy
A drum skin under global over-pressure with a piston valve: before venting, the skin is ultra-tight and there is no clock—“how long it cooks” is meaningless. When the valve crosses threshold and opens, the cauldron steps up together (common step), then rings down in echoes, converting stored energy into heat and waves; only then does timekeeping begin.
IX. Side-by-Side with the Traditional Narrative
- On the “Singularity”: replace “infinite big/small” with “tension-limited quasi-vacuum core plus phase-change release.” Units remain but scales fail before release; scales resume afterward.
- On “Inflation”: instead of geometric stretch to coordinate distant zones, we use “high-tension high-bound transport plus blockwise redraw” to align first, while piston-style reheating performs the energy transfer and writes the phase—no auxiliary driving field or special exit needed.
- On the “Black-Hole Interior” Analogy: both involve locking and extreme tension; here it is global locking with no outside reference. Opening is not “escaping a hole” but rewriting connectivity to restore operational metrics.
X. Testable Clues and Criteria
- J1 | Acoustic “Common Step + Echo-Envelope”: in temperature/polarization correlations, allow an ultra-weak, log-spaced echo modulation that decays with scale, below current limits but phase-consistent.
- J2 | Achromatic Ultra-Large-Scale Shifts: blockwise redraw and path terms should imprint achromatic temperature/phase micro-offsets at the largest angles, weakly correlated with large-scale convergence maps.
- J3 | Early Guidance “Memory”: joint reconstruction from weak lensing, cosmic shear, and BAO should recover a smoother primordial tension base map and jointly reduce residuals across these probes.
- J4 | Very Low Spectral Distortion Bounds: gentle energy transfer implies μ/y distortions below current limits yet nonzero; improved spectroscopy should tighten or detect them.
XI. Conclusion
- Initial State: a globally locked quasi-vacuum core—no particles, no clocks, no operational time—while tension budgets are pulled to the ceiling.
- Trigger: accumulated stress plus micro-triggers drive a critical crossing; the transition zone releases like a piston, lights time, preserves high bounds, rapidly builds phase coordination, and transfers stored tension into initial heat.
- Freeze-In: the acoustic epoch writes the beats; decoupling delivers the plate to us; tension terrain then sculpts the cosmic web and history becomes traceable.
- About “Before”: in a no-time state, “before/after” is meaningless; any pre-phase content is erased for us. The observable universe begins at the release.
In summary, the universe does not jump out of nothing; it crosses a critical threshold from a tension-limited, globally locked quasi-vacuum. Tension sets the bounds, the phase transition lights the beat, stored energy fills the heat, and the network engraves the coordination—after which the universe unfolds along tension-guided terrain into today’s richness.
